Bio

Stephane Cros started to make films in 1989 as he was "studying" engineering in Paris, spending most of his time at the video association of the University, shooting and editing documentaries for all kind of student events, instead of learning maths and physics...
He quickly realized he was born to make films.

He entered the film industry after graduation in 1992 and worked in computer animation and digital special effects on several major motion pictures : the french cult film " The City of Lost Children", selected to the Cannes Festival in 1995, " The Iron Giant"  for Warner Brothers in 1998, one of his favorite animated movies of all time, and Dreamworks huge hit " Shrek", the Oscar winner for Best Animated Feature in 2002. 

He also studied Filmmaking at NYU, Acting at the Cours Florent in Paris, France, and taught Computer Animation at the University Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain.

He is an eternal nomad between European and American life and culture, technology and fine art, computer animation and live action, the biggest Hollywood studios and the smallest independent productions.

He is mainly based in San Francisco, California, but his camera likes to travel.
